What's new
Every page, series, fix and correction we ship, newest first. This list is written by the build itself — one line per change — and a line appears only once the page it points at is live.
pages: 111rows: 2,475updated: 23 Oct 2026
A row is one named series drawn on a page — most pages draw several. A correction means a number we had published was wrong: it is labelled, never quietly replaced.

5 new pages · 2 fixes · 2 corrections- fixThe hourly loupe now opens from the chart: click a day, or pick a datev4.137the hour-by-hour loupe now opens from the chart — on «max», click or tap a day, or type a date
- new pagePricing: questions to the agent, what we hold at a glance, and the Desk recordv4.136Each plan now says how many questions the agent answers: Free 3 a day, or 10 a day signed in with your email (it was 3), Tape 100 a month, Desk 500 a month; a deeper answer counts as three. A strip under the heading shows what we hold today: Hyperliquid wallets, Bybit's whole board, US spot ETF flows fund by fund. Desk shows its API key on its own line and that the record keeps going. Prices are unchanged.
- new pageHyperliquid board: how much of the venue's money each pass coversv4.135The Hyperliquid liquidation board now states its reach in money: each view says what share of all open money on the venue the latest pass covers and how many wallets have a bet open there, both read from the latest data. The every-market page counts the wallets with a bet open. The time the pass ended and how often a new one lands stay on every view.
- new pagePricing: what each plan opens, in plain words, with a proof under every linev4.134The pricing page opens each plan with its main pages: the Hyperliquid liquidation board, exchange arrivals (each closed day on Free, hour by hour on Tape) and spot ETF flows fund by fund. One headline says it: Free by the day, Tape by the hour, Desk adds minutes and files. Every line keeps its proof link with the number from the same build. The download door says what Desk opens. Prices and plans are unchanged.
- correctionETF flows by issuer: the headline is every fund added up, as its caption saysv4.131The by-issuer ETF page opened on the biggest fund’s running total under a caption that read like all of the funds. The headline is now every fund added up since launch, for bitcoin and for ether, and it says so; the fund lines stay under it, and the share cards carry the same number and words. The explainer no longer calls the biggest fund’s total a part of the net when it is larger than the net.

- new pageHyperliquid liquidations: sums over the bars, clear tabs, every market in one tablev4.133The map's bars carry their two sums again, the same numbers as the headline: forced selling if the price falls up to 15%, forced buying up to 15% above. Large tabs under the title: over time, right now, by market. By market is now a table of every market in the latest pass: bets with a liquidation price, forced selling and buying within 15%, share of open interest covered. The calculator drops a day count.
- fixA plan picked on the pricing page now stays chosen through sign-inv4.132Choosing Tape or Desk on the pricing page used to land a signed-out reader on the account page with no plan named, and after the e-mailed link the invoice form fell back to Tape. Now the account page names the plan and its 30-day price, the sign-in link carries the choice, and after signing in the invoice form opens on that plan. Picking a plan grants nothing by itself: a plan starts only with a payment.
- new pageHyperliquid liquidation board joins the plans: Tape every hour, Desk every passv4.130The board's three views (map, heatmap, entries) get plan levels after a free first week; the board shows the end date once the week starts. Then Free keeps the last pass of each UTC day, time-stamped, with the latest pass's headline number beside it; Tape gets the last pass of each full hour; Desk gets each new pass as soon as it lands. Until then every reader sees every pass.
- correctionThe card beside the chart now shows the headline number, in its format and datev4.129On some pages the card beside the chart printed the last value of a different series, raw and with that series' date, such as a ten-digit number above a headline counted in contracts. The card now repeats the headline as the page states it, with its as-of date. Where the gauge follows another line, one line above it names that line in the page's words, with its latest value and date (for options, the expiry).

2 data updates · 5 corrections- dataExchange arrivals: by day, by hour, and how many we see before the blockv4.128The arrivals page opens on the latest closed UTC day in our data (Oct-21 2026: 20,982.49 BTC in 4,045 arrivals) with a 13-day chart; views by day (free), by hour (Tape), live (Desk). Oct-15 to Oct-21, 24,874 of 25,026 (99.4%) were in the mempool before their block, median lead 7.5 min. Each count and BTC sum opens its transactions; a new block says what we don't see. Binance is preliminary until our sweep check ends.
- correctionHyperliquid liquidations: the board says how often it moves and how much it holdsv4.127The three views of the Hyperliquid board stop saying “rebuilt hourly” and “snapshot”: they name the latest pass and how often a new one lands, from the board’s own pass history. The coverage line gives the share of all open money on Hyperliquid held by the wallets in that pass. Link previews carry the board number and the pass time; the entries view prints its archive-frame date once.
- correctionExchange flows: map correction, four desk addresses out, ten re-attributedv4.126Four market-making desk addresses leave the Coinbase and Bitstamp maps and ten addresses move from Coinbase to OKX, Bybit and Gemini; every arrival and departure series is recomputed from 2022 by the same rule. Oct-20 2026 arrivals, all mapped exchanges: 19,335.05 BTC (was 20,377.18); the last 30 full days come out 3.5% lower, Coinbase 9.4%. Days after Oct-21 04:25Z keep the old map until the collector gets it.
- correctionHyperliquid liquidations: the population view draws the board ladderv4.125The population page (entries and addresses) now draws the same ladder as the map: the board’s latest pass, the exact layer from the exchange and the rest from the archive frame, stamped with the pass time; who holds the bets sits under the chart, headed by the date of its archive frame. The map drops the “all together” brackets, and both pages drop the old poller’s words.
- correctionHyperliquid liquidations: the link preview carries the board numberv4.124The link preview (the picture X and Telegram draw under a link) for the heatmap, map and population pages now carries the board’s own number — the forced selling if BTC falls up to 15%, with the pass it came from. Before, the preview showed the old view card: a view title, two “all together” brackets and a footer with a cadence. Nothing on the pages themselves changed.

- correctionHyperliquid liquidations: the caption says what the number isv4.123The caption in the first paragraph of the map, heatmap and population pages, and on their catalog cards, now reads “of forced selling if BTC falls up to 15%”. The number counts longs whose liquidation price sits within 15% below the price, one side only; the old caption “within ±15%” read as both sides.
- dataHyperliquid liquidations: one board, one number in three viewsv4.122The heatmap, the map and the population page are now three views of one board and print one number: forced selling and forced buying within 15% of the price, from the latest pass over Hyperliquid wallets. The exact layer is the liquidation price the exchange reports for each polled wallet; the rest comes from the archive frame and is shown apart, with its share.

4 fixes · 1 correction- correctionExchange flows: the hours do not yet equal the daily bars, and the pages now say sov4.121Two pages said our hourly exchange flows, summed by day, are exactly the daily netflow bars, and called a 5,633 BTC gap floating-point noise. That was wrong: on 2026-10-10 the daily bars were recomputed back to 2022 with a revised address map (Indodax added, Korbit's address set expanded) and the hourly history was not. Both pages now print how many days differ, the largest gap with its date, and why.
- fixEvery page now says what this site is and is notv4.120A one-line statement at the bottom of every page: an independent market-data site, not an exchange and not affiliated with any exchange; we never ask for exchange keys, wallet seed phrases or passwords. Exchange names on our pages are the sources of the public data we chart, nothing more.
- fixHyperliquid population map: the ladder line now compares against the coin's whole framev4.119Under the chart, the line «on this ladder: N of M positions ($X of $Y)» showed the ladder total twice. Y is now the coin's whole frame (both sides). Each coin's data file carries that value and the page reads it from there; a new check confirms every coin file has it and that it matches the summary.
- fixSingle-coin page: the legend bar stays with the chartv4.118On the single-coin page the legend bar above the chart ran the full width of the column and its background showed through under the right-hand panel. It is now as wide as the chart.
- fixHyperliquid population map: only perps in the coin list, and who holds the moneyv4.117Outcome markets (the #-numbered binary markets) are not perpetuals: no funding, no liquidation ladder. They are now left out of the map, the coin picker and the counters, and reported in one line. Under the ladder the page now says how the money is spread across addresses and how much of the exchange's published open interest this frame holds, per coin. The catalog number is now the page's own hero number.

1 new page · 1 data update · 7 fixes- new pageHyperliquid: the full population map, every open position on one liquidation ladderv4.116A new daily page reads the whole Hyperliquid population at the funding hour and lays every open position's liquidation level on one price ladder. Cross-margin levels are marked approximate, isolated ones exact (the formula is verified against the exchange), and a wallet whose balance does not reconcile carries a warning. Coverage and the as-of hour come from the data itself.
- fixThermometer card: latest value of the ranked series, bar answers hover and tapv4.115On pages whose headline is a snapshot of another series (bitcoin held by companies, for one), the thermometer card now prints the latest value of the series it ranks, with its date, instead of repeating the headline number. The bar answers hover and tap on every page again, including pages with context cards where it had gone silent; a tap pins the plate, and the thin markers got a finger-sized tap zone.
- dataMiner flows now reach back to October 2020v4.114The first-hop series now starts on 2020-10-02: the five years before our own node's horizon were read once from a public chain archive with the same 264 payout addresses and checked against our node on 2,000 shared blocks, event for event. Our own node carries it from 2025-10-25; the seam is drawn. The address list is today's, so older years catch fewer blocks: the control line shows the share caught each day.
- fixFive walkthrough fixes: cursor plate, gold Tape card, thermometer, expiry axis, panelv4.113One build, five fixes from the walkthrough: the cursor plate names the bar under it on every chart; the Tape card is the same gold card everywhere and daily charts open on three years; the thermometer follows the shown series and ranks every age band; by-expiry option views sign each bar with its expiry; the bottom panel sits flush under the chart column.
- fixCursor plate on every chart: date, series values, Y markv4.113Hover shows a plate at the cursor on multi-series bars and by-expiry views: date or expiry and every visible series value. The Y mark is the bar under the cursor, not the mouse. The running day names its BTC price with the snapshot hour.

- fixOne gold Tape card, the alert panel in the column, three-year default windowv4.113Every daily chart opens on its last three years; pages whose series is short or whole-history open on all of it, and the window named in a link still wins. The Tape card is the same gold card on every page, with one line: daily stays free, no card, no auto-renew. The alert panel sits flush with the chart column and spans the phone width.
- fixThermometer follows the shown series and ranks every bandv4.113The thermometer card now follows the series picked in the legend and says too young to rank only when that series has under five years. The thirteen age bands, counted since 2009, used to say it on every band but the first; they are ranked. Snapshot boards say no history to rank. Hover or tap the bar for value, date and percentile on every page.
- fixOption views by expiry: every bar signed with its expiry datev4.113On the by-expiry views of dealer gamma and the options board the X axis is a row of expiries: each bar carries its date, month and day, the year when it changes. The blue last-value tag is gone there, since a snapshot has no last day.
- fixBottom panel sits right under the chart columnv4.113The strip that starts with What happened after used to stop short of the chart when the right column was up, leaving a tall empty gap. It now sits flush under the chart at every width where the column is shown.

1 data update · 4 fixes · 2 corrections- correctionBitcoin against ether: bitcoin's cap now from our own ledgerv4.112The two-coin dominance line now takes bitcoin's market cap from our own ledger (every unspent coin we keep count of, times the daily close we publish) instead of a third-party chart that stopped updating on October 14. Ether's cap stays a credited public count. Checked against the old line over 3,347 shared days: median gap 0.39 percent.
- dataCycle clock: cycles read off the tape back to 2010, the 2011 cycle joinsv4.111The cycle clock now finds cycles on the tape by one rule (a record close not beaten for over a year), on daily closes from July 2010: Mt.Gox, then Bitstamp. That adds the 2011 cycle: four completed cycles, not three. Lows came 163 to 406 days after the record (was 364 to 406); the three since the first halving: 364 to 406. The window widens from Oct-05 → Nov-16 2026 to Mar-18 → Nov-16 2026.
- correctionHalving clock: four completed clocks, log scale by default, the price source namedv4.110Daily closes now reach back to July 2010, so the 2012 window is complete and the clock shows four past halvings. The low of each run-up is the lowest close after the previous cycle top, the last record close the market then halved from: 376 days before the 2012 halving, 542, 513 and 516 before 2016, 2020 and 2024. The chart opens on a log scale when the window spans more than 16x.
- fixAsk the tape: premium gloss now survives the buildv4.109The premium gloss line about USDT pairs now lives in the source that rebuilds the ask cards, so it stays after every build tick. Empty or emoji-only questions still get a short hint without spending a quota; a failed retry logs both calls and keeps the better answer.
- fixAsk the tape: a chat holds 10 questions, then a New chat buttonv4.107Each chat holds 10 questions with a visible count and an always-on New chat button. The count survives page reloads; on a full chat the input locks until you start a new chat.
and 2 more from 19 Oct 2026
- fixAsk the tape: longer memory and room for long answersv4.106The model now sees the last five exchanges of the current chat, each up to 3,000 characters with the ending kept. Memory belongs to the chat you are in: a new chat starts clean. Long answers no longer break the next question (request limit 8 KB → 128 KB). "Where do I start" gets a direct answer: two or three rulers, their pages and where each stands now; the no-call note is one short clause at the end.
- fixAsk the tape: the side list no longer covers the page while the chat is openv4.105On wide screens (1760 px and up) the open chat panel narrows the page, so the centred content moved 200 px left while the fixed list of charts stayed where it was and covered the first 184 px of the text. The list now moves with the content, and the content never starts under the list; with the panel closed nothing changes.

1 data update · 5 fixes- dataPrice history now starts July 2010 (Mt.Gox daily tape) on every comparison line and rulerv4.108Every comparison line and ruler now draws bitcoin's price from July 2010: Mt.Gox daily tape through May 2013, then Bitstamp. Before this, those 72 pages started at 2013-06-01.
- fixAsk the tape remembers the conversationv4.104Follow-up questions such as "is that a coin flip?" or "and over 30 days?" are now answered with the previous turns in view: the last four messages of the chat go to the model, each trimmed to 1,200 characters. A second fix on the same path: after three tool calls the model used to lose the question itself and reply that your message came through empty; that cut is gone.
- fixAsk the tape: quick answers on paid plans get the same safety netv4.103On Tape and Desk without 'deeper', a quick answer that misses the question, switches language or drops the 'what followed' numbers is redone by the deeper model, at no extra count against your questions. The page link and the 'where to look next' line now follow the reader's language, and a mistyped series name in a history check returns the valid names instead of a dead end.
- fixAsk the tape now answers 'what happened after…' from the site's own historyv4.102Ask about a condition — three ETF inflows, funding below zero, a ruler extreme — and see every past case and what bitcoin did after, vs an ordinary week. Every pattern comes with an honest check: how often random dates look just as different. Links in answers are clickable, and Tape and Desk answers include today's hourly value. r4: D21 тариф в ToolStore · D22 гард пустого ответа · D23 правила 11/12
- fixLighter chart engine, same behaviourv4.101Two charts that live on one page each (transactions per day, the Hyperliquid liquidation heatmap) now load their drawing code only on their own page; every other page downloads about five kilobytes less. Nothing changes in what the pages show.

- fixCharts say when a piece is missing instead of guessing a datev4.98If a chart page or its data file is not there, the freshness check names the page and the reason instead of inventing a year-2000 lag; a failed hourly tick now sends one alert and says the site may be partial.
- new pageExchange arrivals · live for Deskv4.97A live Desk window of transfers pending at the exchanges we map: last 15 minutes, hour and day, minute-by-minute bars and the pending table. The page itself shows the lock and the last closed day.
- fixPricing page knows your planv4.96The pricing page shows which plan you are on from your account: badge on your card, manage in your account, upgrades and included items named; an ended plan shows only a past date; Enterprise marks its own card.
- dataLiquidations: 12 exchanges in the daily totalv4.95The all-exchange liquidation total now adds Gate, Bitget, HTX, Deribit and Kraken Futures to the seven venues already counted; the hourly roll-up refreshes it.

New Binance-only keys on taker-flow.
- fixEvery hour we hold on Tape; deep pages metered; links open the right seriesv4.93HDEEP2R rebase of HDEEP-2 v4 onto chain 18: Tape sells «every hour we hold» on all hourly charts; T04/V12/billing tape.line without the «400 days» ceiling (operator word 16.10) · WIN16 adds HDQUOTA (12 deep pages a day per Tape account, up to 3 new deep pages a minute, honest 429) and LINKFIX (?ser= / ?coin= in a link open that series or coin on every page, as #ser= already did)

2 fixes- fixCalendar ask passports and 2-digit validation stats in prosev4.92Calendar pages carry the ask passport carrier (run.ask.json) next to their Tape part; validation statistics in page prose (r, slope, corr) print two decimals so a correlation like 0.71 no longer collides with a Tape number; the kit no longer syncs passports or live_png in the build — the stand runs xcards and ask_index after build2.
- fixLiquidation days close by the capture's clock; the running day never prints as closedv4.83The Bybit liquidation family (lqa_*) now closes a day exactly when the capture has reached the day's last full hour, the same rule the page text already uses. Before, the newest day could sit in the free series for about an hour after midnight, until the new day's first events arrived. The running day stays in the paid live part only: the free page names the last closed UTC day, never the day still filling in.
14 Oct 2026
8 fixes- fixNext move size now carries the “only here” markv4.91The catalog and search now mark Next move size as a page you will not find elsewhere, next to the exchange arrivals, the Bybit panel, the cross-venue basis and the TradFi perps.
- fixThe catalog opens folded: six questions first, open the one you needv4.90All charts now greets you with six question groups stacked closed, each with its name and chart count; open the one you need. Search still opens matching groups; a deep link like /#q-liquidations opens exactly that group.
- fixLiquidation views grouped by exchangev4.8924 liquidation views now sit in exchange groups with short chips; full names stay in the chip title and hero.
- fixETF pages: honest partial-day captions and missing-fund warningsv4.88A day that is still filling in now says so in one clear sentence, with the running sum on Tape when it is there and a full stop when it is not. Coin pages that lose funds from the daily table say which coins are missing. The by-issuer board no longer prints a stray comma where the Tape note should be.
- fixLiquidations all-venues rollup: journals, batches and judgev4.87HL batches keyed by raw day content, hole journal locks sidecar gaps, operator notes clear venue-day partials, cron wrapper preserves journals and cleans up.

1 data update · 2 fixes · 2 corrections- fixWide screens: the charts column and the page are now centred togetherv4.82On screens 1760 px and wider the charts column sat at the left edge while the page was centred on its own, so the whole layout leaned left. The column, the gap and the page are now centred as one block; narrower screens and pages without the column are unchanged.
- fixPricing cards: everything in the gold lines; the fine print is gonev4.81Tape and Desk now say everything in their gold lines, each with its proof; the small print is gone, and so is a promise of a Bybit replay we have not built.
- correctionPlans now say how deep each page's hourly history goesv4.80The plans page and your account said Tape keeps the newest 400 days of hourly readings on every page, but most pages hold less: they now say each page has its own depth, up to 400 days on the ordinary pages and every hour we hold on the pages marked “max”, and each page shows where its hourly history begins and ends.
- correctionInvoice page: the QR now holds only the address; exchange withdrawals explainedv4.80Exchange withdrawal forms reject a payment link with an amount in it, so the BTC QR now carries the bare address and the amount is typed by hand, as it already was for USDT. The page and the invoice e-mail say to add the exchange's withdrawal fee on top; a short payment is asked for on the invoice page.
- dataFive on-chain pages now go hour by hour back to January 2009v4.80Coin days destroyed, dormancy, coin velocity, value against coins moved and the age of the coins that moved now hold every hour since 12 January 2009 in the hourly max window. Hours before 16 November 2025 are recomputed from a public chain archive with our own formulas; later hours come from our own Bitcoin node. Outputs below 0.01 BTC are left out; unverified old zero hours stay blank and flagged.

1 fix- fixSome pages now load Google's ad-measurement tagv4.78The Google tag (gtag.js) now loads on 12 pages: the home page, /today/, pricing, account and the text pages, never on metric pages (/m/), the lab or the cards. Google receives your IP address, browser and its cookie id, never your name, email or payment details; in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland its consent starts as denied. Since v4.73 those pages fetched nothing from Google; that no longer holds.

2 fixes- fixType your own price level on the coin chartv4.77On a coin's “Your price level” view there is now a box for any USDT price: type it, press Enter, and the page measures that exact level; the alert link carries it too. Until now the level could only be changed by editing the address. A price that cannot be read gets a one-line answer saying what to type.
- fixToday now says what each fact is, in plain wordsv4.77Every fact on /today/ now carries a plain label (Rare level, Big move, Record, Long streak), its unit next to the number, and a short note on what a fact like this does and does not show. The numbers and the odds behind them are unchanged.

4 fixes- fixOur own line is the default on MVRV, NUPL and realized pricev4.74MVRV, NUPL and realized price: our own line from our own ledger is the line you see.
- fixA Telegram alert on your own line, on 44 chart pagesv4.73Draw a level on a chart and tap “Alert on this line”: Telegram opens a draft rule for that exact line, and it rings once when a closed UTC day prints past your level. The bot names the series and its source, and nothing is watched until you confirm it. 44 chart pages offer it as they open.
- fixThe site's fonts now come from our own domainv4.73Both typefaces now load from askthetape.com itself, so a page no longer waits on Google's servers before it draws and fetches nothing from Google at all. The font files are the ones Google publishes, unmodified.
- fixEnter in the search box no longer jumps to a pagev4.73Enter keeps you on the page: with Ask the tape on, it asks your question right in the box; otherwise the list of matching pages stays. A page opens only when you pick it with the arrow keys or a click, and typing in the box no longer hides charts in the catalog under it.

- fixToday's liquidations named by sidev4.64The page shows longs and shorts so far as two tiles, and Ask the tape adds them up in one line: longs + shorts = total, same pull time.
- new pageBybit's board: how many contracts, how much moneyv4.63New page: how many contracts sit in our Bybit panel, the money in open bets, where it moved on the day, and the TradFi side by group.
- correctionBinance's doors · perpsv4.63Bybit open interest on the doors page now counts one side; the whole history is halved to match every other Bybit line on the site
- fixOptions board cards: the finish-vs-touch note no longer ranks the twov4.63Card note: finishing beyond a level at expiry is not the same as touching it on the way; the line ranking the two is gone.
- fixFocus: the button now sits on the chart itselfv4.63The Focus button now sits on the chart itself, top right, and matches the toolbar one: one click and the chart fills the window.

- fixA way back to the list on phonesv4.59On phones the top bar of chart pages, Today, notes and the changelog now shows Charts: one tap back to the full list.
- fixA new link preview for the front pagev4.59Links to askthetape.com now preview with the front page’s three questions and its dated Payments per day card.
- new pageFind your coin, then read its dated closev4.58The coin page now opens with Find your coin: type a ticker and press Enter. Each coin shows its last daily close with its unit, date and source, then its record close and its side of the 200-day average. Every level you name stays inside the chart, both ends of a move included. A name we do not carry, typed or linked, is said plainly, tab included, instead of opening bitcoin; doors go only to pages with this coin.
- fixOne short header on chart pages and Todayv4.58Chart pages, Today, notes and the changelog now open with one short header: the name on the left, then Today, All charts on wide screens, and the ask compass. The page switcher and the names toggle left the top: on chart pages plain or pro names sit at the foot, next to the build time, which phones now show too. Chart pages lost the long side menu; the compass finds any of the 97 pages as you type.
- fixA simpler front pagev4.58The front page now has one short header: the name, Today, All charts and the ask button, lined up with the page below. Under the question it reads “The data draws. You conclude.” The second question asks how much is bet on bitcoin, on 19 venues, one snapshot every five minutes. Three columns follow: a Telegram alert on your price level, the next day’s facts, your drawing and chart card. Then the shelves and sources.
- fixThe options board shows one dated snapshotv4.58The bitcoin options board no longer calls its expiries events or records: the headline sits beside one tile that counts the expiries on the snapshot and names its hour. Both options pages now define max pain as the strike where open contracts would have the smallest combined payout; the headline uses dollar payouts, with the coin result alongside. Matching deltas are no longer read as a chance.
- fix47 phrases on 39 pages now say what the page measuresv4.5847 phrases corrected across 39 pages, this one included. Lines that claimed more than a page measures — who is buying, what happens next, «every» venue or day — now say what we count; «today» and «data to» lines name the day they mean. Numbers that disagreed with their own page are recounted from the data: exchange books per clock, Extreme Greed from 76, the peg overlap, a scale factor, the US stock close in UTC.
- fixOne rule decides «matches» on the parity boardv4.58A row on the parity board now reads «matches» only under the rule printed over the table. Six rows an earlier, looser pass had called matches now read «close, not the same», and the page names them. The guard line now divides by the coins our node's block headers say were mined, so the early-2009 spike is gone, and each compared row keeps its date.
- fixFunding breadth opens with what it measuresv4.58The page now opens with what it measures: the share of counted Bybit perpetual contracts with funding below zero or above 0.01% per funding interval; the dated source correction follows it and stays on the page. «longs paying more than base» is now «Longs paying over 0.01% per funding interval», the one cut we apply, and shares read «% of counted contracts», since a coin with USDT and USDC contracts counts twice.

16 fixes · 4 corrections- fixThe front page starts with your questionv4.57The front page now opens with three questions: what happened to price, how busy bitcoin was and where it traded, each one row that opens its chart. Beside them sits one dated reading from our own bitcoin node, the last closed day of payments with its chart. Below come the reasons to come back, all 97 charts on three shelves and the five kinds of source, counted from the same build.
- correctionZero on the P&L index is not break-evenv4.56The zero line was labelled «profit and loss even». By the index's own published formula a market sitting exactly at its average cost reads about −1.15, so zero is only the index's own line. The label and the lead now say so, and the number is computed from the formula on every build.
- correctionSame-day betting odds are a blend of settlement hoursv4.56The page called its number the betting markets' price for the day's close. Kalshi lists a contract for many hours of the day, ten or more a day since Sep-12, so one day's coin-flip price mixes contracts that settle at different hours with Polymarket's own daily contract. The page now says same-day odds, and its passport counts the hours.
- correctionFunding breadth names its real exchange: Bybit, not Binancev4.56The page said «every Binance coin», but its rows were always Bybit's: our own snapshot of Bybit's linear contracts, taken every 15 minutes since Jun-11 2026. The title, the text and the table now say Bybit, and the table says how stocks are told apart from tokens and that the contracts without a rate are dated futures.
- correctionBinance's doors: the doors are Binance, the three panel views are Bybitv4.56The weekly doors come from Binance's own list, as before. The share, count and open-interest views were described as Binance's, but they come from our own snapshot of Bybit's contracts. Each panel view now names Bybit, and the first line of the page says so.

- fixThe window names where each number comes from, and says when a coin is not on the tapev4.56A question naming a coin we do not carry, like «arweave funding on binance», no longer gets bitcoin's figure under that name: the window says there is no such row and lists the coins it has. Each answer names its source class — node, capture, ruler over public prices, or exchange archive — not a vague «our own build». Two days back is called two days, and figures dated by option expiry open the board.
- fixThe coin page's level view gets an alert for your line, in Telegramv4.56On a coin's level view a bell opens an alert for that exact line. It fires on a UTC daily close by default, or on a touch if you pick it, and the link carries your price as you wrote it, never rounded: a price the link cannot carry gets no link and a plain reason. The page cannot see whether the bot took the alert, so it says so and sends you to Telegram to check.
- fixLedger pages say which coins they countv4.56Pages rebuilt from our copy of the bitcoin ledger spoke of «every coin». The ledger keeps outputs of 0.01 BTC and up; the passport and the first screen of each ledger page now say so. The coverage line starts where the drawn series starts, 2010-07-17 for the priced views, with the ledger's 2009 start beside it.
- fixImplied volatility reads as a yearly percentagev4.56The headline printed a bare number beside «BTC», and it read like a quantity of coins. It now carries the percent sign and names the scale: the move the options price in, expressed per year, for the expiry nearest a month and nearest a week.
- fixThe options board is one snapshot, and says when it was takenv4.56A tile counted the board's expiries as events «since» a date in the future and called them too young to rank. It now says how many expiries are drawn from one snapshot, with the snapshot's date and hour, and the first screen carries that date too, not only the hour.
- fix«Today» no longer names a day that has closedv4.56Pages that called the last closed day «today» or «tonight» (coin days destroyed, dormancy, miner pay, coins in profit and others) now say «on the day» or «at the last close». The running day keeps its own «today so far», with the hour it was pulled, and /today/ says each fact carries its own date.
- fixCaptions that argued with their own numbersv4.56The 4 % line on the ten-year yield chart was labelled as where the yield sits now; it is a reference line. RSI now says it weighs the size of gains against losses, smoothed over about two weeks, not the count of up-days. The stablecoin peg view no longer says which coin left the dollar, and taker flow names how many exchanges it added up on the day shown.
- fixCoin pages: one rounding for the record close, no stale examplev4.56The sentence under a coin rounded its record close one way and the tile beside it the other, $124,628 against $124,629 for bitcoin; both now round the same way. A bounce now counts its days to the last close of the tape, not to a today the tape has not reached, and the perpetual-against-spot note no longer quotes a SUI example measured on another day.
- fixThe first screen names who prints the numberv4.56Five pages now name their source above the chart, not only further down: Upbit against Binance for the Korea premium, the public market tallies for the dominance counts and the total market, Farside for the ETF flows.
- fixThe oil beside bitcoin is Brent, and every label now says sov4.56The gold, silver and oil page drew Brent crude futures, and its own oil view said Brent, yet its other name and the subtitle of its card said WTI. Every label on the page and on its card now names Brent.
- fixEach Bitfinex pair counts its own daysv4.56The SOL and DOGE views borrowed the bitcoin pair's count of days: 2,040, when their own tapes hold 1,941 and 1,968. Every pair now counts its own closed days, and the running day is named apart from them.
- fixThe release calendar counts the months it is missingv4.56The calendar promised every print date since 1947 and pointed to gaps it did not list. It now counts the months with no print on file, release by release: CPI 4, jobs 8, PPI 3, retail sales 2, PCE 80, and lists them in the passport.
- fixEvery fact on /today/ names its sourcev4.56Each fact of the day, in the top cards and in the full list, now carries the same source line as the badge of its own page, so a reader can tell where a number came from without leaving the list.
- fixPrice pulls and block heights carry their datev4.56The cost-basis wall printed the hour of its price pull without the day when the pull was that day's, next to a wall dated the day before; the halving clock printed the hour of its block height the same way. Both now print the date with the hour.
- fixYour drawn line keeps its exact number, its coin and view, and its linkv4.56A line you draw prints the exact price its link carries (1.81841, not $2) and stays with its coin and view instead of being renamed in satoshi. On a coin's price view one click makes it the level in the address and in the history. Levels, ranges and trends can be typed. A range on the cost-basis wall or the liquidation map snaps to whole price bins and goes into the zone link. Undo brings back a deleted mark.

9 data updates · 6 fixes · 2 corrections- correctionEther and Tron pages get their own label: we decode them, we run no node for themv4.55Three pages read other chains: ether staking deposits, stablecoin mints and burns, stablecoins on exchanges. The work is ours, a decode of their public records, but we run no node for those chains, and now we say so. The front page counts it: of 97 metrics, 28 are read on our own node and ledger, 3 we decode ourselves, 21 come from our own capture of the tape, 15 are our own rulers, 30 carry a named public archive.
- correctionTron and XRP pages now name their sourcev4.55The Tron and XRP ledger pages called their numbers our own daily chain series. They are public sources we pull once a day: a community chain-metrics archive, an explorer and the XRP Ledger's public servers; 48,114 of 48,116 day values match them, the two that differ are one XRP day booked across two. We run no node for either chain, and both pages say so. The Tron addresses chart now reads addresses active that day.
- dataLongs against shorts across the 21 coins we capture, added up over 30 and 60 daysv4.55One view adds the 21 coins of our capture: how much was long and how much short over the last month, and over two. On the Sep-21 close: $1.90B of longs against $2.18B of shorts over 30 days, longs 46.6 % of the dollars, BTC the heaviest coin at 44.0 %. The base is the same 21 coins since Jun-07: longs 40.5 %, and a placebo puts the month within the usual range. A lower bound: what four exchanges broadcast.
- dataDays when price and open interest rose together, and the week that followedv4.55Open interest is counted in COINS, never dollars. Each day since Sep-2020 whose close and whose Binance + Bybit open interest both rose is one bar at that close, showing bitcoin seven days later. The headline sets the answer against its base: −0.21 % after those days, +0.45 % after any day (medians, 609 days to Sep-21, placebo p 0.011) — the weeks after were weaker, not stronger.
- dataA green day for both the S&P and bitcoin, then the week afterv4.55Only common days count: the index against its own previous session, bitcoin against its own previous UTC day, nothing carried across a weekend. The headline prints the answer beside its base: +0.65 % a week after a green day for both, +0.55 % after any common day (medians, 1,026 days since 2013, to Sep-21, placebo p 0.61). About the same as any day — no regularity.

- dataThe biggest liquidation days, and what the week after them didv4.55«Big» is knowable on the day: at least five times the median of the previous 30 days, read on the Bybit + OKX feeds, the two we hear on every day of the capture, so a feed going quiet or coming back cannot make a big day. Since Mar-31: 5 such days in 2 bursts (Jun-02 → Jun-05, Aug-19 → Aug-21); a week later bitcoin was higher on 2 of them, against 86 of 162 days of the tape. Counts, not rates.
- dataETH against its 100-week average, and how long each return above it heldv4.55Two new views on the ether tape: weeks above or below the 100-week average, and how long each return above it lasted. The average is the mean of the last 700 daily Binance closes read on each week's Sunday; the chart most people quote averages 100 weekly closes instead, a few dollars apart on the same tape. Ether has closed below for 35 weeks; the longest return above held 103 weeks, after just one week below.
- fixThe parity board now counts its own source columnv4.55It now counts the source column under it: we build 52 of the bitcoin rows (19 rows are a public source we pull once a day, two are exchanges' own daily prints, the rest we do not build). On the other three chains, where we run no node, 14 rows are our own decode of Ethereum's records and 32 are public sources we pull daily.
- fixThe window's page figure matches the picture; no page card for a coin it does not knowv4.55When the window answers with a page's own figure, it says so first and keeps the page's caption whole, so a quiet source still reads as quiet. Views of past events open the page instead of printing the last event as «now». A question naming a coin we do not carry — zcash, kaspa, monero — gets no page card dressed up as that coin's number, and «how much is bitcoin» on the coin page answers with bitcoin.
- fixSearch moved into the compass: one icon in the header finds the page and the numberv4.55The search field has left the header; in its place one compass icon opens a panel that finds the page for your words and, in the same box, the number behind your question. The floating button no longer sits over the chart on any page. One index serves both the panel and the catalog, so the counts agree, and a price feed that has stopped moving is drawn as a wall with its reason, never as a fresh arrow.
- fixOKX and Gate views open on one line, and the frame names the coin firstv4.55The 40 OKX and Gate views opened as a thicket: three and four cuts in one colour family. They now open on the venue's widest cut, all of its accounts, with the narrower cuts one click away in the legend, and a shared frame leads with the coin («SOL · OKX · longs ÷ shorts, all accounts»). Beside the number stand that line's usual reading and its closed days above 1. Venues are never added together.
- fixIndex and commodity closes now wait for the session to endv4.55Until today the tape could print the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow, gold, silver and Brent as «closed at» a number while their session was still running: the public chart feed hands out the running bar under the day's date. The fetch now drops the running session (the source's own session clock, plus ten minutes for the closing auction), records the decision, and the page names only the last closed day.
- dataNetwork rows now read from our own nodev4.54Mining power, difficulty, payments per day and new coins are now read from the block headers on our own node — all 968,048 of them, back to 2009, with no missing day since 2010. Unspent outputs are counted on our node from 2025-11-03, where our block-statistics archive begins, and the seam is drawn on the chart. Active addresses and coins moved stay on a public explorer's chart and now say so on the line itself.
- dataName your own price zone on the cost-basis wall and on the liquidation mapv4.53Both pages now take a zone, from one price to another, and answer with what sits inside it: coins on the wall, forced closes on the Hyperliquid map, long and short apart. The sum is made of whole price steps of our own data, and a zone that makes no sense says so loudly. The map now prints the time of its snapshot from the snapshot's own file, and USDT dominance names its base.
- dataTen more views: how often price came back above an average, and how long it heldv4.53Five averages, two views each, on the page that already draws the crosses: the 50-week EMA, the 2-year average of daily closes and a 20/21-week band for bitcoin, the 50-week average and the 200-week EMA for ether. One view counts the weeks or days the close has spent on one side; the other counts every return above and how long each lasted, and how many died inside two weeks. Same two public tapes, no new data.
- dataPut your own level on the option board and see what the market pays for itv4.53«$100,000 by December», «50K is coming» — the board prices that, and now every strike it lists has a chart of its own: what a bet on your level costs, expiry by expiry, read off the two strikes NEXT to yours, not from a formula. The ladder grew to every listed strike with open interest between half and twice the price: 68, $45,000 to $170,000.
- fixA shared frame names the view you asked for, scales to your line, and can show todayv4.53Three fixes to the ?x=1 picture. The big line is the caption of the VIEW you addressed, not the page title. Address one line in a busy view and the number, the caption and the Y axis belong to that line. And &live=1 makes the hero the running day, «today so far · as of HH:MMZ» from the data stamp; a series of closed days only answers with a loud NO RUNNING DAY. /x/keys.json marks where live is legal.

2 new pages · 2 data updates · 1 fix- new pageAny coin: price, drawdown, bounce and your own levelv4.52One page for a single coin — every Binance USDT perpetual with at least 250 daily closes, 477 of the 523 listed: price since its perpetual was listed, how far below its record CLOSE it sits, how far it bounced off the low of that drawdown and how earlier bounces of +50 % ended, its price in satoshi, the 200-day average and its streak, plus two views that take a level from you.
- dataUp days and down days on the S&P, and what followedv4.52Three new views on the S&P page: how many sessions in a row the index closed the same way since 1970; where it stood 5 and 20 sessions after a run reached its fifth close — the moment a reader can know it happened — with the base rate of any session beside it; and what bitcoin did over the same UTC days. A day here is a session.
- fixAsk the matrix for your own pair, and the card answers that pairv4.52The shareable picture now takes the two levels and the deadline you name — ?x=1&pair=83000x75000&wfh=72h — and it is measured from the last CLOSED hourly price of the build, printed large with its hour, instead of the morning anchor. A typo no longer draws the default cell in silence: an unknown pair, deadline or window says so on the card. The machine list at /x/keys.json spells out this page's own parameters.
- new pageAsk the tape — it finds the number for your questionv4.51A small window on every page: type a question in plain English and it finds the page and the series here that answer it, then prints the number with its date and its place in its own history. The number comes from this site's data, never from a language model; when we lack the series, it says so. Free, no account, five questions a day. Questions are kept without any identifier, so we can see what to build next.
- dataA plain catalogue for assistants, and dates in the markupv4.49Every page now states in its machine-readable markup when its data last changed, when the page first shipped and that the numbers are free to quote under CC BY 4.0; and one plain-text file, /llms.txt, lists every page on the site with a line each — and says what the day next to it means — so an assistant asked where to find a number can find it and date it without guessing.
20 Sep 2026
1 new page · 3 data updates · 5 fixes- fixThe option board's card now draws the whole ladder of expiriesv4.49The picture this page shares was a frame around three dots: the card took the last MONTH of the x axis, and that axis is a list of EXPIRY dates, not days. It draws the whole ladder now. Two captions went with it: «last event · today», and the furthest expiry's date beside a number that belongs to the heaviest one. And the chance in each cell was rounded twice, so 8 of 135 were a point off — once now.
- new pageWhich months were kind to etherv4.48Ether now has the calendar bitcoin already had, plus quarters on both: pick a month or a quarter and every one of its years stands as a bar, with the median of them dashed across, how many finished up, and the best and worst year named. Public Binance ETHUSDT daily closes from 2017-08-17; the running month and quarter are hollow and count for nothing.
- dataWeeks in a row above or below the 50-week averagev4.48Two views on the same Bitstamp tape: every closed week since 2014 counted as the number of weeks in a row its Sunday close sat above the 50-week average (green) or below it (red), and how long the first close above held once a long stretch below ended. The week we are in is hollow and is in no count. On the day this shipped the count was 44 weeks below, and the three longest stretches below ran 62, 49 and 47 weeks.
- dataBitcoin's four quarters, beside its twelve monthsv4.48The seasonality page gained Q1 to Q4 on the same Bitstamp tape: one bar per year, close to close, with the median, the count of years that finished up and the best and worst year named. Same capture, same days, one calendar step up. The running quarter is hollow.
- fixCards can be addressed by any line keyv4.48A card URL now takes the key of a single line inside a view, not just the view key: the picture carries that line's number, date and caption, the line is highlighted and its neighbours are dimmed. An unknown key, window or coin no longer falls back to the page default in card mode — the frame says NO SUCH and names what the page does have. The machine list of keys is published at /x/keys.json.

- dataA view whose number is the shortsv4.46Longs and shorts were two lines of one view, and the number on top was always the longs — so there was no way to share a picture whose headline figure is the shorts wiped out. There is now: pick «shorts wiped out · all exchanges». Same capture, same days, no new series.
- fixThe seasonality page answers with its median, not with last Septemberv4.46The big number on this page, and on the image it shares, used to be the move of the last closed bar — +5.35 % for September 2025 — which reads like a claim about the month you are in. The answer this page gives is the MEDIAN of that month's years and how many finished up, so that is what the number says now, with the best and worst year beside it. Nothing in the data changed.
- fixPrice against the 50-week and 200-week average now says how farv4.46On the views that draw price with a weekly average the headline number was the price itself — the same figure ten other pages print. It is now the distance to that average in per cent, with the price, the average, the day and the date of the last crossing underneath.
- fixThe formula lab is readable without JavaScriptv4.46The lab drew everything in the browser, so to a crawler — and to anyone with scripts off — it was a blank page. It now carries its own text and the whole list of series it can use, 1,619 of them across 88 pages, each page linked. The lab itself still needs JavaScript.

4 new pages · 2 data updates- new pageHow many coins the exchanges hold, venue by venuev4.45New page: the coins sitting on exchange addresses, one line per venue, day by day since 2022. The level is anchored to a public snapshot of every funded bitcoin address intersected with our own address map, and carried between snapshots by our own daily flows; to the left of the anchor it is rolled back the same way.
- new pageWhich months were kind to bitcoinv4.45Pick a calendar month and every one of its years stands as one bar: the median move, how many of those years finished up, and the best and worst of them with the year named. The month we are in is drawn hollow and counts for nothing. Bitstamp daily closes, first closed month July 2013.
- dataRSI by week and by monthv4.45The RSI page now carries two more lines beside the 14-day one: Wilder's RSI-14 on ISO-week closes and on calendar-month closes. The running week and the running month are left out, and the monthly line needs 14 closes before it starts, so it begins in 2014-08.
- new pageThe whole bitcoin option board, photographed every hourv4.44Deribit is where bitcoin options trade, and until today we drew only the front ether expiry. This page takes the WHOLE bitcoin board every hour: max pain for each expiry next to the price that expiry trades at, the open bets behind it, and a table giving the chance the market prices for every strike. That chance is a delta, not a forecast — and max pain is not a magnet, with the measurement printed.
- new pageThe 200-week average joins the crosses pagev4.43The long ruler people quote most was missing: the 200-week average. It is here now, same engine as the rest — price against it and the 50-week crossing it, first point Mar 2017. The passport says what weekly means here. Six reader-caught defects went with it: line names at the chart edge, a watermark that keeps off the data, and three pages that now say when a day or a snapshot is only half in.

- dataSixteen ledger pages now open hour by hourv4.43The pages built on our own copy of the UTXO ledger — SOPR, coins in profit, realized cap and price, MVRV, NUPL, coin days destroyed, dormancy, the age bands — now carry an hourly window beside the daily chart. It comes from our own node, block by block, no outside dataset; folded back into days it matches the daily ledger bit for bit on 35 of 35 days. Nine rows carry a thin second line: the hour, as the daily counts.
18 Sep 2026
1 data update · 1 fix- dataTwo more pages now open hour by hourv4.42The last two pages whose tape we already capture but never drew by the hour. The liquidation map gets an hourly line of what sits on it: money that would be sold if price fell, money bought if it rose, how many bets carry a liquidation price — read from the very snapshots the daily map is built from, so the hour that closes a day IS that day. Funding opens hourly for every coin on every venue.
- fixOpen interest now says whether it counts dollars, coins — or more venuesv4.42A dollar total moves for two reasons that are not the market: the price moved under bets already open, and the list of venues grew. Each coin group now has a second view counted in coins, and its bold line is like-for-like — the same fixed set of venues every day, the set the dollar view uses. The notes print dollars, coins and price on that set, and how many venues entered.

1 data update- dataNine more pages now open hour by hourv4.41The tape behind these nine pages was already ours — the hours were simply never drawn. The whole market and bitcoin's share of it, mining power, stablecoins printed and shredded, ether entering staking, the betting books, the TradFi perpetuals. Nothing new is pulled. Each window names its carrier and says where the hourly carrier is a different instrument from the daily one: a fund is not the ounce.
15 Sep 2026
3 data updates · 6 fixes- data5-minute and 1-minute files now follow a dated re-read registryv4.41For the finer files we asked one question of every series: can anyone re-read this tape for an arbitrary day months back, out of a public archive? We tried it by hand and wrote down what each source answered and when. What passes rides in the 5-minute and 1-minute archives; order books, depth, the five-second funding tape, the Hyperliquid map and the mempool are read here, because that day cannot be captured again.
- dataFourteen more pages now open hour by hourv4.41The tape behind these pages was already ours — the hours were simply never drawn. Fourteen pages now open hour by hour, built from the very capture their daily bar is built from: nothing new was pulled for any of them. Each window names its carrier on the page, says from which hour we hold it and when it was last pulled. Hours stay on the Tape plan; the daily charts stay free.
- dataEach layer now comes as one archive, like the daily onev4.40The finer cuts used to be carried away one page at a time. Now each layer is a single archive — all-hourly.zip, all-5min.zip, all-1min.zip next to all-daily.zip — built on the tick from the same files, cut by the same rule (only what we captured ourselves), and each counts as one file against the daily ceiling. Retention is printed inside: hourly from the day our capture starts, 5-minute 90 days, 1-minute 30 days.
- fixThe export now names where every series comes fromv4.40Every page on the site now says, in one line, whether it can be carried away as a file and from which day. Four pages we capture ourselves — forced closes, forced closes by coin, the Korea premium and stablecoins on exchanges — plus our own rulers and our own node's payment count are in the file for the first time; pages drawn from someone else's archive say so instead of saying «no export» on every page alike.
- fixThe plaque on a locked window now names the windows the page really hasv4.39When a finer window sat behind the Tape plan, the plaque said every window down to the minute — on six pages that was not true: four carry only the hour (Coinbase premium, exchange flows by hour, block rewards by pool, IV surfaces) and two the hour and five minutes (the Hyperliquid liquidation map, open interest by exchange). The plaque now lists exactly the windows that page has, in the same words as the catalogue.

- fixThe hourly windows were losing one hour per rebuild — found and fixedv4.39Every hourly rebuild re-read the last three days from the minute it started, so the hour on that edge was summed from 39 of its 60 minutes and written over the full hour on disk: one hollowed-out hour per rebuild in every hourly window, and the same cut at five- and one-minute edges. The edge now snaps to the bucket grid, the damaged history is re-pulled whole, and the gate says when a window has no dense key.
- fixA venue's archive now goes under a line only where it measures the same widthv4.39This page had put each venue's own premium archive under all 105 of its lines. On 44 the venue publishes a different width from the one we measure — Bybit's TIA swings 2.5 times wider than our capture, OKX's PENDLE six times narrower — so those lines are now our own capture only, start on our own first day and say so in the legend. The other 61 keep their venue's history, back to 2019.
- fixThe matrix now says how far an interpolated cell sits from the exact countv4.39Any pair off the grid is interpolated, and the page said so without saying by how much. Now it prints the size. Inside the grid the miss against an exact count of the same tape is under 2.0 points at the ninetieth. Closer than 2 % to the price there is no node at all, so the 2 % one is served: the miss is 11.5 points at the median, 35.5 at the ninetieth, and over 30 days a cell was that node in 54 % of hours.
- fixA file now tells the truth about where its rows come fromv4.39A file could open with «every row is our own capture» and still carry an exchange's own archive underneath. The build now names where each series comes from: our own node and ledger, our own capture of the tape, or our own line over a public price. An exchange's archive is not in the file at all — it stays on the page, dated. Stitched pages start the day our capture starts, and say so in the first line.

3 new pages · 16 fixes- fixBinance's open interest now reaches back to 2020, not to Marchv4.38The page began where our own snapshots did, on 2026-03-31. Binance publishes an archive of the very same five-minute snapshots, and it now sits under our line: 2,035 days from 2020-09-01, read by the rule the page already used — the last snapshot of each UTC day, in bitcoin, one side. Over the 167 overlapping days the two agree to a median of 0.0157%. The other four venues publish no such archive.
- fixThe catalogue now says which pages have finer windowsv4.38Fifteen pages here carry our own tape hour by hour, ten of them down to five minutes and nine to the minute — and nothing in the list said so. Every card now names the windows it actually has (on Tape: hourly · 5-minute · 1-minute), the pro name carries the finest of them, and the one page whose name mentioned the inside of the day is now named for what it measures: Coinbase premium · the day's range.
- fixThe funding legs on the tick page now start in 2019, not in Aprilv4.37The fee lines had no reason to begin on 2026-04-11: the same exchanges publish every payment they ever charged. Binance is drawn from 2019-09-11, Bybit from 2020-03-26, Hyperliquid from 2023-06-08 when its billing went hourly - 5,646 archived days under our own tape. Our running tick against their settled fee: slope 1.00, 0.96, 0.99. On any day we cover, our number wins. OKX and Bitget publish no usable archive.
- fixThe crowd's lean now starts a year earlier, from each venue's own archivev4.37The page started the day our own hourly capture did, while all three venues publish a daily bar of it. Those bars now sit under it: Bybit to 2025-05-03 (+1.03 years), OKX and Gate to 2026-03-20 — 13,960 archived days on 140 legs. The day-label was tested on three alignments per venue: Gate and OKX carry the label's own day, Bybit's 00:00 bar the day before. Gate's taker ratio is a different measure.
- fixThe level line now says what it is: an anchored balance, not just a shapev4.37The page still told readers to read the shape and not the height «until the anchor exists», when the anchor had already been taken. It now prints the scan itself: block 966,976 on 2026-09-14, 35,580.55 BTC on the payout addresses, and the last published day as their balance at block 966,888. Two new rows for the pro: the 7 test-chain entries the scan skips, and the 17 blocks that paid two pools at once.

- fixThe daily top-up dropped one book and re-labelled MEXC's Beijing days — fixedv4.37For two hours of Sep-14 this page was missing MEXC's perpetual book (2,292 days back to Jun-05 2020) and had re-labelled the 302 Beijing-clock days MEXC's spot book kept in 2017-18 as UTC days. The daily top-up re-reads the last three days and was rebuilding the whole file from them. It now merges instead: it cannot drop a book, cannot re-label a day it did not fetch, and cannot shrink the file.
- new pageWhere bitcoin actually tradesv4.36Dollars of bitcoin changing hands each day on 23 venues — 16 spot books and 15 perpetuals, kept apart — from each exchange's own published daily candle, back to 2013. On Sep-13 2026 the spot books traded $2.50B between them and the perpetuals $19.78B: 7.9 dollars of perpetual per dollar of spot. Volume is what venues report, not what is verified, and the page carries one book per venue and says what that leaves out.
- fixFunding by coin now starts in 2019, not on the day we started listeningv4.36The page began on 2026-04-11, the day our own capture began, while the exchanges publish every funding payment they ever charged. Those archives now sit underneath it: Binance to 2019-09-10, Bybit to 2020-03-25, Hyperliquid to 2023-05-12, 21 coins each, +6.6 years. The day-label was tested on three alignments, not assumed; on overlapping days the page keeps our number. OKX and Bitget publish no usable history.
- fixFour more exchanges had a history of open interest after allv4.36Gate goes back to Oct-11 2023, dYdX to Nov-13 2023, Paradex to Nov-15 2025 and HTX to Mar-13 2026 — all four spliced under our own capture, which still wins any day it covers. Since Mar-31 2026 the chart carries 76.4% of the last closed day's total, up from 62.0%; through 2024-2025, 51.8% up from 43.9%. The like-for-like line keeps the same five venues as before.
- new pageMiner flows, first hopv4.35New page: what 115 mining pools were paid at their 264 published payout addresses, and when they moved it off them — read on our own node, first hop only. Not a clustered pool wallet, and not a trace of where the coins went next.
- fixSix pages now say why their line starts when we didv4.35Some series here begin on the day we started listening, and until now the page said nothing about it. Six of them now carry one line: the source keeps no history. Binance's forced-close dumps answer 404, OKX serves only live ticks, Binance margin rates need a signed key, and Deribit's board and trade tape return only today.
- fixThe share seen before the block now runs to the last closed dayv4.34The first-sight layer is stitched from two files, and the live one carries no seen/total counters — so it blanked the day the consolidated history had just filled in, and the line stopped two days short of the data. The live file now overrides only the flow numbers; the counters stay as the history wrote them. The line reaches Sep-13 2026 again: 98.9 % of that day's arrivals were in the mempool before their block.
- fixThe leverage chart now says, in numbers, why the wide line stepsv4.34The amber line adds up every venue we reach, so its big jumps are venues arriving, not leverage. Its label now carries the count (19 venues on Sep-13 2026) and the page names the biggest step: the amber line jumped +37% on Sep-11 2026 because the sum went 7 to 15 venues, while the blue line, the same five venues all the way, moved -4.5% that same day.
- fixWhat a walk resampled from our own bars can and cannot reproducev4.34FOR THE PRO now carries a dated calibration line. A walk resampled from the grid's own hourly bars reproduces it only with a day of volatility memory, and even then not fully: 24-hour blocks land 594-605 of the 605 cells inside the printed band and bring the median miss on «neither» from 2.8 down to 1.2 points; hours with no memory land 516. Beside it: the band's width and the 121 cells that answer themselves.
- fixThe catalog no longer lists ninety half-described datasetsv4.33Google Search Console flagged the home page: its catalog markup nested a bare name-and-link entry for every one of the ninety metric pages, and each of those read as a dataset with no description, no license and no creator. The full description lives on every metric page and always did; the empty stubs are gone, and each metric page now names the catalog it belongs to instead. Nothing on the visible page changed.
- fixOne hour, printed once, on the first-sight clockv4.33The hourly first-sight window is stitched from two files: the consolidated history and the live capture. Since this morning the history runs through the last closed day while the live file still carries the same hours, so twenty-four hours of Sep-13 were drawn twice with slightly different values. Each hour now prints once, live layer on top of history, as the daily rows on this page already do.
- new pageNote: money shows up before the block doesv4.32Second note in /notes/: over the seven days to Sep-12 2026, 93.6 % of the confirmed exchange deposits our map recognises were already in the mempool before their block, median lead 7.5 minutes — the number the netflow page prints, with its date, its interval and two dated honesty lines on what the clock is and is not. Graded on 2026-10-14.
- fixA note's number can be any number its page printsv4.32Until today a note could only stand on the headline row of the chart it reads. Now it can stand on any row that page draws, or on a number the page prints straight out of its own file. The check is the same one: the number is re-read from the very build the page is made of, and a build whose file disagrees with the note does not go out.
- fixA quiet day no longer breaks the buildv4.32The cards for /today/ and /changelog/ are only redrawn when the day has at least three items to show; on a thinner day the previous card was meant to stay. The check behind it still counted that as a failure and stopped the whole hourly build, so a single shipped fix could have frozen the site for the day. Now a kept card is a kept card, and the build goes on. The cards themselves draw exactly as before.

5 new pages · 10 data updates · 15 fixes · 4 corrections- correctionUnder the live price the daily window printed hourly numbersv4.30Two windows — the daily long view since 2011 and the four-year one — have no percentage grid of their own, and the page quietly answered them from the two-year hourly grid whenever it recomputed cells from the live price: the daily cell this build wrote read 53.3 / 38.2 / 8.4 and the page printed 70.2 / 29.8 / 0.0. Measured 2026-09-13 in our own file. Those windows now print what the build wrote, labelled «as built».
- new pageNotes: a new sectionv4.29One number with the date it is from, one chart you can open, one line of what we measure next, and a dated grade whenever a note makes a promise. One a week, on Sundays. The first note reads the coin-days page: five-year-old coins hold 81.16 % of all the waiting on the chain.
- dataNotes have their own RSS feedv4.29Every note appears in /notes/feed.xml the moment it is built, newest first, with the note's own address as its id. The daily feed of tape facts at /feed.xml is unchanged.
- fixThe band under a recomputed cell is now that cell's ownv4.29This page opens on cells recomputed from the live price, and in that view the 95 % band under the big number could only be the band of the UPPER share — labelled «on the upper share» whichever share was leading. The grid now carries the band of all three, read by field name out of the file, so the band belongs to the number above it. A file without those fields keeps the old label.
- fixCoin days by age is now a door on the four age pagesv4.29The four pages about how long coins have sat — every coin sorted by how long held, how long the moved coins had sat still, coin days destroyed, and the coins that moved by age — now carry a next-door link back to «Coin days by age band». Until today that road ran one way: it linked to all four, none of them linked back.

- correctionThe daily long view was printing a band on a different numberv4.28On the since-2011 daily window the cell prints the share of ALL starts, but the band beside it came from the daily engine, which measures the share among the starts that RESOLVED: on 79,000 before 75,000 the page printed 53.3 % with a band of 55.8-60.6, which belongs to 58.2 %. Measured 2026-09-13 in our own file. That window now prints no band and says why.
- fixThe 95 % band now belongs to the number above itv4.28Until today every cell printed the band of the upper share, whichever share the big number happened to be. The engine now bootstraps all three shares from the same replicas, so the band under a cell is the band of that same share, and the label says «on the upper share» only where that is all we have — which is what happens when the page recomputes cells from the live price.
- fixWhat these pages do not do, measured and datedv4.28Three pages now carry one dated line about what their level does and does not do next: the NVT ratio has no stable relation to the next 30-90 days on our own series since 2013, and the share of coins older than a year has run with the next 90 days at rank +0.25 across three cycles - too few to call it more than a cycle marker. Measured 2026-09-13 on our own data.
- new pageCoin-days alive, by age bandv4.27The same thirteen age bands the supply page uses, but weighed by age: every coin alive multiplied by the days it has been sitting still. Counted one for one, coins older than five years are a third of the supply; counted by age they are four fifths of all the waiting on the chain. Five groups as shares, all twelve drawn bands in coin days, and the whole stock they add back to.
- dataYour own pair, your own deadline, every epoch — on the Tape planv4.27The table stays free and whole. Behind the Tape plan the page now answers your own question: any two levels in dollars or per cent, any deadline in hours or days, and all three epochs the engine counts — two years, four years and since 2017 — with the median time to an answer in each cell. Where your level is not a node of the grid it prints the nodes around it and does not interpolate.
- dataHour by hour, now for every exchange we mapv4.27This page counted eight exchanges. It now counts every exchange our address map knows - 54, with the three mapped wallets that are not exchanges left out - exactly the population of the daily flows page. So the hours here add up to the bars there: 1,716 of 1,716 days identical, re-measured on every build. The eight biggest venues stay as a second line; over the last year they carry 85.6 % of arrivals.
- fixWhich prints first: the big number now says which of the three ledv4.27In every cell the large number is now whichever of the three outcomes actually led, and it carries its own sign: an up arrow when the upper level printed first, a down arrow when the lower one did, «nil» when neither was reached in time. The other two shares stand under it with their signs, and the 95 % band is labelled as the band on the up share — the only one the engine bootstraps. No number changed.
- fixWindow views now have names, not key spellingsv4.27In the hourly and minute windows behind the Tape plan, each view was labelled with the spelling of its data key - Fn netflow, Fh net okx, An BTC. Every window now carries its own names, so the views read as instruments: net flow, all exchanges, by the hour; arrivals - Binance; minutes we see it before the block. Nothing about the numbers changed.
- fixThe forced-close headline now names the whole band, not just the nearest 6%v4.27The number at the top counted only the price steps within 6% of spot. On ether that was $138M of forced selling below and $3.9M of forced buying above, while the band the chart actually draws holds $333M and $144M - the fattest step of all sits 14% below and never reached the headline. Both band totals now stand next to the 6% numbers, on each side, and the label follows the band you pick.
- new pageExchange deposits by sizev4.26The coins arriving at exchanges each day, now split by how big the single deposit was: under 10 BTC, 10-100, 100-1,000, and 1,000 and up. The four shares add up to the day, and the headline is the share that arrived in deposits of 100 BTC or more over the last thirty days.
- correctionThe arriving-now lead, re-measured: 93.6 % before the block, not 96 %v4.26Our own re-measurement on 2026-09-13 corrects the arriving-now line on this page: 93.6 % of the 49,781 confirmed transfers we tag were in the mempool before their block, not 96 %. That 96 % counted anything found in the mempool at all, including the 2.4 % that turned up there only after the block, and it counted exchange legs rather than transactions. Arrivals above 100 BTC: 201 of 219 before the block, not 207.
- dataExchange netflow now has an hourly windowv4.26The flow page gained a Tape window: the same coins hour by hour, on the hour of the confirming block, for the eight exchanges that carry about 86% of the flow our daily map sees. Summed by day it equals the day bars on our hourly-flows page to a millionth of a coin.
- dataArrivals by exchange, and how much the live layer seesv4.26The hourly window now splits arrivals by exchange on the first-sight clock, top eight of the window, with the 287-minute hole of 12.09 left as a hole. A dated line was added: on 12.09 15-23Z our mempool capture had seen 1,578 of 1,595 chain events at the four exchanges where anything was missed.
- dataThe arriving-now window: 48 hours, minute by minutev4.26Behind the Tape plan this page now opens a minute window: every minute of the last 48 hours of coins arriving at and leaving exchanges, stamped by the moment our own capture first saw the transaction in the mempool - before the block, not after it. A minute with nothing in it is a zero, not a gap, and every full hour of the window adds up to the same hour on the hourly flows page.
- fixCatalog dates now say what the page really drawsv4.26Ten rows promised a year the page does not start at. Six said 2011 where the line runs from July 2010, the first day bitcoin had a price; the cost-basis wall said the same; the calendar rulers said 1980 and their earliest drawn point is 1984; the XRP page said 2012 and its first day is 2013. Every year in a catalog row is now read off the series that was built, and a gate re-reads it on every build.
- fixEvery page got lighter by the catalog's own bytesv4.26The card text and the metric names that only the catalog page needs no longer travel with all 88 pages: they moved into the file the catalog alone asks for. The shared head every page pays fell from 86.4 to 82.8 KB compressed, and a first open is about 3 KB lighter. Nothing was dropped: the catalog search still finds the same words it found before.
- fixPlain or pro: every page has two namesv4.25The sidebar, catalogue and search now switch between plain names (default) and the chartists' terms — MVRV, NUPL, SOPR and the rest — with one toggle that remembers your choice and travels in the link. Under each title the other name is printed as «also known as».
- fixAverages, thinning and weekly views told straightv4.25Five line views drew a bold 30-day average the legend never named; it is gone. The ALL window now says how it is thinned: of every N days we keep the highest and the lowest. Weekly views count weeks, not events, and the ether-in-bitcoin page got a third lighter.
- fixThe paid windows can be openedv4.25Pages with an hourly, five-minute or one-minute window now show the buttons for them; without the Tape plan they answer with a plate that says so. Until now those windows were built but no page could open them.
- new pageExchange flows, hour by hourv4.24Coins moving into and out of eight exchanges, hour by hour since 2022, from our own address map — and a second clock that counts the same arrivals from the moment we first saw them in the mempool, before the block. Nine views; the hourly window is on the Tape plan.
- dataTwo more rows the board now counts as builtv4.24Coin-days alive by age band and exchange inflow by transaction size are now our own rows on the parity board (70 of 86). The board reads a small overrides file from the data line and recounts from the table.
- dataFive-minute and one-minute windows are builtv4.24Ten of the twelve hourly pages now also carry a five-minute window for the last seven days, eight of them a one-minute window for the last 48 hours, from our own capture; both sit behind the Tape plan like the hourly window. The two pages whose capture is hourly by nature stay hourly.
- dataBlock rewards by pool, hour by hourv4.24The page now carries an hourly window straight from our own per-block ledger: blocks, subsidy and fees per UTC hour with the top pools' share, and a free table of the last 24 hours by pool. The hour-by-hour sums equal the daily row on every day, and the page prints that check.
- new pageLeverage ratio · bets against coins on exchangesv4.23Open bets on bitcoin, counted in coins, divided by the coins sitting on the exchanges our address map covers. Both halves are measured here: our own venue capture and our own map.
- correctionRealized price now comes off our own ledgerv4.23The page said «own ledger» but drew an outside series. The line is now our own: realized cap divided by every coin the ledger says is alive, to the last closed day.
- dataSOL gets the daily long view; the matrix got airv4.23A daily long view for SOL from Binance daily bars since August 2020 sits next to the hourly matrix. The matrix rows got more space, the caption moved clear of the watermark on tablets and on the X card, and the column gaps on phones widened.
- fixOur rows named in plain wordsv4.23The «our row» column printed internal notes in another language for twelve rows. Every row now names the series in plain English, the stablecoin supply ratio row reads PARTIAL, own ruler, with the date it was checked, and the two leverage-ratio rows moved from missing to close, not the same.
- fixNo file names on the pagev4.23The arriving-now block and the reserve note referred to internal file names. They now say what was measured and when, in words.
- fixEvery page now points next doorv4.23Each page ends with links to the instruments that answer the neighbouring question, and the footer links to what's new. Pill rows no longer leave a stray separator at the line break, long tokens wrap on phones, and axis labels keep a halo over the lines.

- dataYoung venues named with their first dayv4.19A venue that only joined recently is listed in the all-venues legend together with the day it starts, so a step in the total is never read as a jump in the market.
- fixAttribution printed on bitcoin dominancev4.19The page credits the source of the first count, in the size its terms ask for, whether or not JavaScript is on.
- new pageThe ten largest arrivals at each exchangev4.18How much of a day's arriving coin sat in just ten transfers per exchange — and how much of the whole chain's movement went to an exchange at all.
- dataExchange reserve anchored at an absolute levelv4.18The reserve is anchored at an absolute count of coins, a monthly view sits beside the daily one, and a block shows what is arriving right now, before it confirms.
- fixPages open lighterv4.17A page whose default window is a year now fetches the exact three-year part instead of the whole history: 26 pages got smaller on first open, with nothing lost from the chart.
- dataSpot and derivatives split apartv4.16Exchange flows are cut into venues that are spot-only and venues that also run a derivatives book, so one number is never a mix of the two.
- dataThe board puts bitcoin firstv4.16The board now judges the bitcoin rows first and counts them separately; other chains appear only where we own the data rather than to pad the total.
- dataPrices back to July 2010 behind SOPRv4.16The earliest exchange prints from July 2010 are joined into the price history, so profit and loss on old coins is computed against a price that existed.
- fixLabels on the all-venues chart stopped overlappingv4.15Where a venue's first day steps the total up, the step is drawn without text on the chart and named in the sidebar instead, so two labels no longer sit on top of each other.
- new pageCoins that had sat still, movingv4.14Every coin that moved, weighed by how long it had been sitting still — computed from our own ledger of every unspent output, day by day.
- new pageHow long the coins that moved had been sittingv4.14The average age of the coins that changed hands each day: dormancy, from our own ledger.
- new pageHow many times a year each coin changes handsv4.14What the chain actually moves against what exists: velocity, computed from our own ledger rather than quoted.
- new pageWhat the market is worth against what it movesv4.14Market value divided by the value the chain settles — the ratio people call NVT — with the smoothing printed rather than assumed.
- new pageWhat the miners are paid against their own yearv4.14Today's mining revenue against its own 365-day average: the Puell multiple, from our own node.
- new pageOne number for the whole market's paper profitv4.14How much of the market is in profit on paper, as one index, with the year-long average that smooths it into a slow-moving line.
- new pageEvery coin, sorted by how long it has sat stillv4.14The whole supply split into age buckets, day by day since 2009: what is held for years, what churns inside a week.
- new pageThe coins that moved today, sorted by how old they werev4.14The day's spent coins split by the age they had when they moved — the old money and the fast money in the same picture.
- new pageOur rows, and the one time they were checkedv4.14Every bitcoin row we rebuild ourselves, one row at a time, with its source and the date of its check printed on every line.
- dataOpen interest without the wallsv4.13One like-for-like line across the five venues that have been there the whole time (Binance USD-M, Bybit, OKX, Bitfinex, Kraken), all 19 venues in the legend, and a switch between all venues, the core five and none.
- dataThe largest moves behind each barv4.13Every daily bar of exchange flow opens into the twenty largest transfers behind it, with a month of days kept as its own archive page.
- new pageBitcoin's share of the marketv4.12How much of all the money in crypto sits in bitcoin, with a second independent count drawn beside the first so you can see where the two disagree.
- new pageThe US 10-year yield, and bitcoin beside itv4.12The yield everyone quotes, next to bitcoin, with every run of at least 50 basis points marked and what bitcoin did afterwards: 19 runs up since 2013, and the saying that rising yields are bearish does not survive the count.
- dataExchange flows move onto our own address mapv4.11Coins in and out of exchanges are counted on our own clustering of exchange addresses, rebuilt from the chain. The older map is kept beside it.
