Pick a coin and read its whole tape: the price since Binance listed its perpetual, how far it sits below its record close, how far it has bounced off the low of that drawdown, and where it stands against a level you name.
$81,385 BTC closed at $81,385 on Oct-22 2026 - record close $124,629 (Oct-06 2025), lowest close $4,765 (Mar-12 2020) - our BTC tape starts Sep-08 2019, 2,602 days - Binance USDT perpetual, daily closes, not spot, measured and published by askthetape.com.
One page for the question people actually ask about a single coin: what happened to it. The price line starts on the day Binance listed the perpetual — not on the day the coin was born — so «since listing» here means since OUR tape for it starts, and the page prints that date beside every number. Drawdown is measured from the highest CLOSE, not from an intraday wick, so it will read a little smaller than the figure exchanges quote. The bounce is measured from the lowest close since that peak, which is the low of the drawdown you are looking at, not the all-time low. A bounce is not a turn: the page counts every earlier bounce of +50 %% or more this coin had and says how many of them ended at a new low. The level views answer the other half of the question — when this coin last closed above a round number you name, how many days ago that was, how many times it has crossed that line, and how long earlier returns lasted. Every count is machine-made and printed next to the window it was counted in, because «four earlier returns» and «766 closes above» are answers to two different questions.
| leg | public daily klines of the Binance USDⓈ-M USDT perpetuals listed at capture time (data/binance_perp_closes.json, the same keyless leg that feeds «Coins beating bitcoin»); one file per coin, /d/coin/<COIN>.json |
|---|---|
| cadence | daily; the page judges only CLOSED days — the running UTC day is not in the carrier at all |
| coverage | 487 of the 519 listed perpetuals have at least 250 daily closes and get a page; the other 32 are listed but too young for a 200-day average, and are not offered |
| 🩸 perp, not spot | every number here is the PERPETUAL's daily close, not the spot price. The two usually differ in the fourth digit, sometimes by more, and this build carries no spot leg to print the gap from, so no example is quoted here: a number measured on one day and printed on another would be a stale example. If you are checking this page against a spot chart, expect a small gap. |
| 🩸 1000× and 1M× contracts | Binance lists some coins in packets: 1000PEPE is one thousand PEPE, 1000000MOG is a million MOG. The page shows the CONTRACT's price and says the multiplier; «PEPE» and «kPEPE» in the address both open 1000PEPE. Dividing by the multiplier is left to you, because the contract is what trades. |
| 🩸 survivorship | the coin list is the list Binance publishes TODAY. A perpetual listed in 2021 and delisted in 2023 is absent from this page entirely — only TRADING contracts are in the carrier, so nothing here says what happened to a coin that lost its door. |
| 🩸 peak and low are CLOSES | the record and the low on this page are the highest and the lowest daily CLOSE, never a wick. Records quoted elsewhere are usually intraday highs and will be higher. |
| 🩸 the 200-day average never carries over a hole | it is the mean of 200 CONSECUTIVE calendar days, and a day without a full 200-day window simply has no average — nothing is stretched across a gap. In this build every one of the 487 coins has an unbroken tape, so no average is missing for that reason. |
| 🩸 «what followed» = the close ON the day, not the best close inside the window | after each crossing up this page prints the close exactly 30 and 90 days later. Numbers quoted elsewhere for the same events are often the BEST close reached inside those 90 days, which is a different and always kinder question: for SUI's crossing of 2024-09-17 the close at +90 days is +296 %% while the best close inside the window is +309 %%, and for 2025-04-24 it is +11 %% against +23 %%. A best-in-window number is a choice of the best moment after the fact; this page does not make that choice for you. |
| bounce episodes | a bounce = a rise of at least +50 %% from a low; it ends at the highest close before price falls by a third (−33.3 %%, the same threshold read downwards), and it «ended at a new low» when the lowest close after that high went below the low it started from. Five episodes or fewer are printed one by one rather than averaged. |
| age of the number | the carrier is pulled once a day; this build read it at 2026-10-23 00:30:38Z and its last closed day is Oct-22 2026. The page prints both, because a level that is 1 % away is a different answer at a stale price. |
| since | each coin from its own first daily close on the perpetual; the earliest on this page is Sep-08 2019 |
