The network's daily vitals

Four counts of the network's day: addresses used, outputs sitting unspent, new coins paid to miners, coins that changed hands. Bold line = 30-day average.

488 BTC new coins paid to miners · our own node on Oct-25 2026, the last day in this build, measured and published by askthetape.com.

For everyone

Four counts of the network's day: how many addresses were used, how many unspent coins exist, how many new coins the miners were paid, and how many coins changed hands. Two of them are ours end to end: the new coins are the scheduled block subsidy of every block our node saw that day, and the unspent outputs are counted on our node from 2025-11-03 — a full scan of the coin set, carried forward block by block, an accounting identity rather than an estimate. The other two (active addresses, and coins moved, which is the explorer's own estimate of transaction volume) still come from a public block explorer's chart, and the legend says so on the line itself. Each view says where its number is from, so you always know whose count you are reading.

For the pro

cadencedaily, by the UTC date in the block header (block time is not monotonic — 16,050 blocks carry a stamp earlier than their parent — so the day is the header's own stamp, and that is the whole rule)
🩸 the seam on the unspent-outputs lineunspent outputs are counted on our node from 2025-11-03, the first day our block-statistics archive covers end to end. The count is anchored on a full UTXO-set scan (164,628,816 outputs at height 972259) and carried day by day by each block's own utxo_increase_actual, so it is an accounting identity, not an estimate. Before that day there is no line: the years before our archive are not drawn, and the seam is marked on the chart, not hidden.
🩸 new coins are the SUBSIDY«new coins» is the scheduled block subsidy of the day's blocks (50 BTC halving every 210,000 blocks), fees not included. Checked against the node's own subsidy field on every block of our statistics archive: zero difference. Against the public chart: 95.2 % of days identical.
🩸 what is still not oursactive addresses and «coins moved» are not ours: they are a public block explorer's charts, kept because we have nothing better yet. «Coins moved» is their ESTIMATED transaction volume — an estimate, not a count, and it is drawn under that name.
