Every options trade we heard

Every trade in Deribit's coin-settled bitcoin and ether options that our hourly pull received, added up per day: notional, trade count, share of puts.

$442.0M BTC notional of all trades on Oct-25 2026, the last day in this build, measured and published by askthetape.com.

For everyone

Options trade one by one, and each trade says what it was: a put or a call, how big, at what price. We keep every trade since Jul-06 2026; the days before that come from Deribit's own public archive of option trades, which reaches back to Nov-29 2016 for bitcoin and Mar-21 2019 for ether. Each day shows the notional in dollars (contracts × the index price), the number of trades and how many of them were puts, the bets that pay when price falls. From Jul-06 2026 a day closes at our 23:26 UTC pull; the archive days are UTC days. Options settled in USDC are not in these lines, so the count is a floor of Deribit's whole book. Inside the day the Tape windows draw a different number: only trades with at least $250K of premium, summed as premium (what the buyer paid), not the notional of every trade that the daily bars add up, next to a count of every trade our live feed heard.

Tape windowsthe 1h, 5m and 1m windows (Tape) draw our own live feed of Deribit's option trades, not the measure of the daily bars: the dollar line is the PREMIUM (contracts × price × index price) of trades whose premium was at least $250K — our own cut, not Deribit's block trades — and the count is every trade the feed heard, of any size; closed buckets only. On Oct-25 2026 (UTC) our live feed heard 2,785 BTC option trades; 0 of them had $250K or more of premium, $0 of premium in all (ETH: 0 of 2,117, $0). The daily bar of Oct-25 2026 adds up $441,963,434 of notional across 2,805 trades.
historyThis series starts on Nov-29 2016: it is our own capture of the options tape from Jul-06 2026 and Deribit's own public trade archive before that; Deribit publishes no earlier history.
