For everyone

These are Bybit's perpetuals, read from our own snapshot every 15 minutes; this page used to call them Binance's. The fee is what one side of a perpetual pays the other every few hours. When nothing is happening, longs pay a base fee. We count the Bybit token perpetuals that actually publish a rate — on 2026-10-25 that was 680 of the 716 token contracts listed, and the 36 without one are Bybit's dated futures, which pay no fee, so they are left out rather than counted as calm — and show the share where shorts pay instead, and the share where longs pay over 0.01% per funding interval. Stocks, gold and oil are left out when Binance's list of stock perps carries the same name, because their fee stops when their markets close; Bybit stock perps that Binance does not list stay in the count.

For the pro

legown daily panel of Bybit's linear contracts, last snapshot of the UTC day (Bybit's public v5 tickers, our own snapshot every 15 minutes; USDT- and USDC-margined perpetuals, so a coin listed in both counts twice), tokens only (a name on Binance's TRADIFI_PERPETUAL list is left out): funding < 0 · 0 ≤ funding ≤ 0.01% · funding > 0.01%
🩸 Bybit, not Binanceuntil this correction (written 2026-09-23) the page said «every Binance coin»; the poller behind it has read Bybit since its first day, 2026-06-11. Stocks are told apart by Binance's list of names, so Bybit stock and currency perps that Binance does not list count as tokens here: 82 of the 669 counted on 2026-09-22 by Bybit's own labels (measured 2026-09-23).

🩸 «every token perp» is not every onethe denominator is the contracts that carry a rate in that day's snapshot, not every token contract listed: on 2026-10-25 the panel listed 716 and 680 carried a rate (median 36 missing a day, worst 69). The «contracts counted» view is that denominator, so it can be checked. Every contract without a rate is one of Bybit's dated futures, which pay no funding: checked on all 105 daily snapshots, 2026-06-11 → 2026-09-23.
🩸 one threshold, not twothe split uses ONE flat cut of 0.01 % per funding interval for every contract, whatever its interval is. Bybit pays every 8 hours on 427 of its 845 perpetuals and every 4 hours on 415 (3 pay hourly; instrument list 2026-09-23), and a shorter interval carries a smaller base (0.005 % on the 4-hour ones: the rate 285 of the 411 printed on 2026-09-22), so a 4-hour contract paying its own double-base lands in «calm» here. The page names the cut it applies rather than the bases it does not.
notethe base fee counts as calm, so a quiet market shows a large calm share; the three shares add up to 100
