Bybit lists perpetuals on metals, oil, index funds and single stocks, open all weekend and settled in stablecoins. Here is what actually trades on them: price, money in open bets, and the spread.
$4,032 Gold · XAU · price on Oct-22 2026, the last day in this build, measured and published by askthetape.com.
A crypto exchange now lists bets on gold, silver, oil, the S&P, the Nasdaq, Nvidia, Tesla, MicroStrategy and Coinbase, open all weekend and settled in stablecoins. Whether anyone uses them is a fact, not an opinion: we read the price, the money in open bets and the spread every five minutes. Most of these markets are thin and their spreads say so; gold is the exception, and the gold book is also where Bybit lists dated futures that are born and die inside our window.

| 🩸 open interest: one side, changed 2026-09-12 | 🩸 ONE SIDE (Bybit's own singleOpenInterest) EVERYWHERE — one convention across the whole site, not per page. Bybit and Hyperliquid count BOTH sides of every contract in their public field, so both are halved. Bybit: checked again on the live handles 2026-09-12, openInterest / singleOpenInterest = 2.000000 on all seven symbols probed (BTC, SOL, HYPE, UNI and the TradFi books XAUT, SPX, TSLA — the exchange's convention, not one market's). Hyperliquid reports two-sided open interest — its own note of 2026-09-23: «Two-sided OI is calculated as the sum of long and short positions» — and our own record of its positions agrees: on no market do the tracked longs reach much past half of the field. We halve it to one side, like the other venues, while Binance 103,753.375, OKX 27,373.52 and Bitget 35,260.41 already publish one side and are left alone. Our own capture of the same hour sits within 0.1-0.2% of each one-sided handle and at 2.0014x of Bybit's single side. The correction runs over the WHOLE history — neither field has ever been one-sided, so there is no seam to date; until this correction, Hyperliquid was printed here at both sides. Every book on this page is Bybit's, so every «money in open bets» line here was two-sided until 2026-09-12 and is now half of what it printed: on the last closed day 2026-09-11, gold $77.07M → $38.53M, XAUT $112.41M → $56.21M, silver $28.71M → $14.35M, oil $27.81M → $13.90M, Tesla $10.06M → $5.03M, and the dated-gold total $147.0K → $73.5K. The dated total is the same set of contracts as before — only the side changed, not the composition. |
