Some dates carry a story: the day Apple shows new phones, the Friday the US jobs report drops, the last day of the month. Here is the plain close-to-close move on each of those days, one bar each, so the story can be checked against the tape. Jobs-report Fridays are the first Friday of each month, the usual date. An event day whose close has not printed yet is a hollow marker on the zero line. The last view drops the events and takes plain calendar months: every closed month since 2010 as one bar, and underneath, the same months grouped by name with the median move and how many of them finished up. Read that count before repeating a season: 13 Decembers is not a law, and the running month is not drawn until it closes.
